Rev. James King became our minister in July of 2004 and we have not looked back! James is a spiritual teacher who gave his first Sunday talk in a small town church at the tender age of 16. After that he knew his calling was to be involved in assisting others in their spiritual growth. James attended a Bible college in Minneapolis, Minnesota and from there went directly into the ministry in 1978 in a Midwestern church and thereafter served in three different churches throughout the eighties and nineties. James has a unique understanding about the symbolism of scripture and shares deep insight into the mysteries of “The Christ within you” in his teachings. James has written a book entitled “Dancing with the Universe-Lessons in Synchronicity” and recorded a CD of all original music by the same title. He leads silent and guided meditations which create an atmosphere that allows for many to receive healings of the body, mind and spirit. James has written a plethora of songs that reflect a sense of connection with the Divine Presence and assists in awakening the “Sleeping Beauties” that are consistently being drawn into our church family.James is joined by his wife Leah who is a minister in her own right. Leah is our Church Administrator and brings lots of experience as a youth education director. Leah also serves as platform leader and keyboardist extraordinaire. Her ability to flow with James during his spontaneous meditations and teaching is a rare gift. Her ability to play in a meditative state has allowed her to bring others into an intimate experience with “The Christ Presence.” James and Leah are committed and dedicated to assist in creating a safe and loving environment for the exciting folks who make up the spiritual family at Unity Church of Greenville.
